Be vigilant during the holidays... and not only then!

Updated: Jan 16, 2024

Annually, most frauds occur around the holidays because criminals take advantage of people's distractions, primarily focused on seasonal shopping.

With thoughts of sweet bread and a beautifully decorated tree, in their haste for gifts for loved ones or excited about organizing mini vacations at home or abroad, people become euphoric and forget to be vigilant.

So, pay close attention to the links you access, where you provide your personal information and your card details!

Especially be cautious about SMS messages regarding packages to be delivered, cloned websites, messages from accommodation units asking you to pay through a method other than the one agreed upon at the time of booking, and spam emails or messages containing links for password resets.

Be vigilant! Only uninformed individuals become victims!
